Business Retention and Expansion Survey

Business Retention and Expansion Survey

Supporting local businesses has long been a pillar of economic development. According to studies 82% of economic growth in the United States comes from existing and expanding companies.  Since its inception, Johns Creek Advantge (JCA) has been committed to supporting local businesses. One of the most important aspects of supporting our local existing businesses is listening to their needs and concerns.

In order to better understand and address the needs of local businesses, JCA is askinng Johns Creek businesses (from small to large and everything in between) to please take a few moments to complete our Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) Survey

Goals of the BRE Program

The goal of this program is to help our existing businesses grow. To do this we are reaching out to as broad a representation of businesses in our community as possible. Through the survey and visits to exsiting businesses JCA hopes to:

(1) Develop a clearer picture of the number and types of businesses operating in our community;
(2) Gauge the workforce needs of our local businesses;
(3) Identify companies that are planning expansions and may qualify for business incentives or assistance;
(4) Anticipate and recognize any challenges that are threatening our local businesses; and
(5) Create an open dialogue between our businesses and local, regional and state leadership.

Filling out the survey

There are as many different types of businesses as there are business owners.  No survey can be inclusive enough to be relevant to all businesses.  To that point, if there is a question that you feel does not apply to your business, feel free to skip the question.  But please try to answer as many questions as possible.  The more data provided by businesses, the better JCA can work to create and sustain an environment conducive to business success.

The information collected will remain confidential from a business name perspctive and contact person perspective. Feedback will only be shared in general terms to help JCA and the City of Johns Creek better serve the needs our local businesses.
